Media Center
The Lithonia Middle School Media Center serves as an information hub for the school. We offer instruction and curricular support to ensure our students are effective users and producers of ideas and information. We provide access to technology, print, and e-resources to support the curricular needs of our students and staff. We collaborate with teachers on instructional initiatives, teach information literacy skills in the context of the curriculum, and promote reading for information and pleasure.

Policies and Procedures
Students will need a signed agenda or pass in order to visit the media center during the school day.
CIRCULATION
Students are allowed to check out two books at a time. The check out period is two weeks. Reference books can be checked out with permission, overnight. Magazines are to be viewed in the Media Center only.
OVERDUES
Students will be fined .10 per day for overdue books. A student will be blocked from checkout once the fine reaches .50.
